She drafts domestic partnership agreements, sperm donor agreements, and assists gay and lesbian families seeking to adopt.
Beth has long focused on harassment, discrimination and civil rights issues. She has been a vocal advocate for gay and lesbian rights for decades, and has won several awards for her involvement in protecting gay men and lesbians. She has performed innumerable hours of pro bono work on the same-sex marriage issue. She has been involved in litigation on a wide range of other types of discrimination cases, including race, age, gender and national origin.
Beth also provides advice to employers seeking to ensure compliance with the myriad of local, state and federal employment law, including wage and hour, disability, family leave and discrimination and harassment. She provides training to employers seeking to ensure their employees understand and comply with employment laws.
Beth understands the needs of nontraditional families and the assistance and safeguards they need to create, maintain and protect themselves. Whether it is assisting in adoptions, surrogacy, or unique custody arrangement; drafting partnership agreements, wills, or any of the documents needed to provide long-term security; or helping couples wishing to dissolve relationships amicably, you can count on Beth to be knowledgeable, supportive, and compassionate.
Outside of her legal practice, Beth races Dragonboats and is an avid bicyclist. She enjoys hiking and boating. Beth is on the Executice Committee of the Diversity Section of the Oregon State Bar and is in the Leadership Fellow Program of the Bar. She is also a member of the Portland Area Business Association.
Beth is licensed in the states of Oregon and Washington, and in the US District Court for the District of Oregon. She is a member of the Multnomah Bar Association, the Oregon State Bar, Oregon Women Lawyers, and the Oregon Gay and Lesbian Law Association
